Innovation makes life easier
Over the millennia of human history there have been specific geographic locations where mankind seemed to focus their creativity, such as the Fertile Crescent, Yellow River and Nile Valley (BC), Rome (2000 years ago), Damascus and Baghdad (1000 years ago) and London and Paris (120 years ago). Thirty years ago, it was Silicon Valley.
Today location is irrelevant thanks to the internet. Life-changing software and improvements in productivity and efficiency can be developed by your next-door neighbour in the comfort of their home.
One such software innovator is Caro Morgan, owner of EXBO, an online conference and exhibition tool kit. Caro’s software has improved the lives of conference and exhibitor attendees and organisers alike – 1 303 681 people from 21 countries on five continents to be exact. And that is just in 2017…
EXBO event software is really efficient
EXBO is not a conference or exhibition organiser; it is a software company that specialises in creating cloud-based toolkits that are custom made to assist in almost every facet of event planning, co-ordination and implementation.
Creativity and innovation is what makes EXBO tick.
“Because we have worked with a variety of professional conference organisers over the years, we have been able to draw on their collective experience to produce an online toolkit that is well-rounded and includes the latest conference practices,” says Caro.
EXBO’s event software is optimised for conferences and exhibitions that have 400 or more attendees. Caro says that they work closely with each customer to make sure the toolkit suits the branding, location, type of event and event size.
She adds, “Our toolkit manages everything in real time from online registration to the creation of name tags. Attendees can register, choose their seat or stand, upload their credentials or branding, make their payment and book accommodation, tours, flights and lectures. Besides ensuring accuracy, it’s a big time-saver for the event manager.”
EXBO have developed toolkits for academic conferences, seminars, association congresses and trade shows. A few recent examples include the NAACAM Show, Leadership Conference, International Paleohistology Conferenceand Christmas in the Home.
EXBO has worked with University of Cape Town, University of Johannesburg, Stellenbosch University, Trueblue Events, Inkanyezi, Eastern Sun Events, Europa Organisation Africa and Reed Exhibitions among others.
EXBO event software is constantly updated and Caro and her team add new services to their offering on a regular basis.
With regard to organising academic events, Caro says, “EXBO event software can manage abstract submissions and reviews. ePosters are now an option where abstract submissions can be displayed on interactive screens. Delegates can review, rate and forward the posters, and even send the author a message.”
“We’ve also recently upgraded our stand-booking system for exhibitions, with some new functionality for the infrastructure managers that is creating quite a bit of excitement!”
“We run a highly professional system and we enjoy working with professional event and conference organisers,” says Caro.
