Drugs, unlicensed firearm and ammo seized in Bishop Lavis

Members attached to Operation Thunder descended to Bishop Lavis in their efforts to curb gang related shootings in the area.

“They followed up on information and searched a vehicle that was parked at an address,” police said.

“The members discovered an unlicensed firearm and ammunition as well as an assortment of drugs worth a substantial amount.”

Bishop Lavis man expected in court

A 20-year-old man was arrested.

“Once he has been charged he will appear in the Bishop Lavis Magistrate’s Court.”
