Overstrand Municipality thanks dog walkers

The Overstrand Municipality has thanked local residents for responding positively to its call that dogs be walked on a leash.

“Overstrand’s Law Enforcement team thanked dog walkers for keeping dogs on leashes,” said Overstrand Municipality spokesperson, Riana Steenkamp.

“Every responsible dog owner agrees – picking up after your dog is a MUST.

“Dog walkers, make sure you carry bags with you. In fact, carry extras and offer them to dog owners who aren’t prepared or may not yet be educated about the importance of picking up after their dogs.

“It’s important to keep your dog on a leash when walking.”
