]]>“The suspects held the staff of the business at gunpoint and fled the scene with cash in a gold Toyota Avanza,” said police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Andrè Traut.
“The SAPS were quick to respond to the incident and following a high speed pursuit, the getaway vehicle was stopped in Somerset West.”
He said that the four male occupants, aged between 30 and 40, were arrested and two 9mm firearms were confiscated.
“One of the suspects was identified as a police officer stationed at Hout Bay police station. Once charged, the suspects are due to make a court appearance in Stellenbosch,” added Lieutenant Colonel Traut .
Western Cape SAPS Provincial Commissioner, Lt Gen KE Jula, praised the Stellenbosch members for their vigilance and speedy response.
He welcomed the arrest of the perpetrators, adding that the SAPS in this province has no place for police officers, who live a double life as criminals too.

]]>“She was last seen by her son. He reported her missing Friday afternoon since she never returned home,” said police spokesperson, Captain FC Van Wyk.
“Noellene left in her silver colour Opel Corsa 1300 IS with registration number CA 923 834 (yellow number plates).”
He added that Noellene has long blonde hair, blue/green eyes. She is also of light complexion.
“She is approximately 1,68 m tall and weighs around 60 kg.”
Meanwhile, Capt Van Wyk said that at the time of her disappearance she was seen neatly dressed in grey three-quarter pants, white patterned ladies’ shirt and sandals.
“Anyone with information is kindly requested to contact the investigating officer Sergeant Danie Qundana of Brackenfell SAPS on 076 695 3851 or 021 980 5729/ 980 5737/ 983 1940.”

]]>“Aldred Coenraad Beukes is originally from Keimoes in the Northern Cape Province,” said police spokesperson, Captain FC Van Wyk.
“When he came to Cape Town he was employed as a Security Official. He stayed in Parow.
“From July 2005, he was employed at Grand West Casino.”
During August 2010, he resigned from Grand West Casino, saying that he is going to his girlfriend and will be working in the Knysna/George area as an Events Manager and will be staying with friends.
He was, thereafter, again seen in Cape Town employed as a Security Official.
On 2015-01-25, his body was found at Sandy Bay, near Hout Bay, after it washed up by the sea.
“An inquest has been registered to confirm the cause of his death.
“Further investigation into the matter and information obtained, it was confirmed that, a ‘Bianca Bailey’ was a close friend to the deceased, Aldred Coenraad Beukes, when he was residing at Taylor Street, Parow Valley,” said Captain Van Wyk.
“Although no specific address for Bianca Bailey could be confirmed, she was last seen in areas of Parow, Goodwood and also Bellville. The assistance of Bianca Bailey is needed for the investigation of the Inquest.”

He also urged road users not to drive under the influence of alcohol.
“If you intend to consume alcohol, make alternative arrangements so that you will not have to get behind the wheel”.
Also remember not to leave items such as cell phones, wallets and other valuables in plain sight, unattended or on the seat next to you. Always stow your valuables in the boot of your car.

]]>Police spokesperson, Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana, said “The complainant was woken up by three suspects, all armed with knives. The suspects demanded firearms and tied the complainant and his wife whilst they ransacked the house.
“They took various items such as televisions, household goods, cellphones, jewellery, firearms and an undisclosed amount of money. The suspects then fled the premises on foot.”
Sgt Rwexana added that Diep River police members and Neighbourhood watch members acted swiftly. They searched the area for the suspects.
He said; “They arrested two suspects, aged 32 and 35, where they were found hiding in the near vicinity.
“Most of the stolen items, including a firearm were recovered.”
Once charged the suspects will appear in the Wynberg Magistrates’ Court.
The Western Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Khombinkosi Jula, praised the community for working together with the police to bring the perpetrators to justice.

]]>Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Andrè Trau, said the suspects in their thirties had abalone worth at an estimated R10 million.
During the early hours of Friday morning, police responded to a house robbery in Strubens Road, Mowbray.
That is when police officers noticed that the house was being used for abalone processing.
Lt Col Trau said that the officers, subsequently decided to search the premises.
“This led to the discovery of abalone and equipment to process abalone for export purposes,” he described.
“The suspects claimed that they were tied up by seven suspects.
“These suspects fled the scene with abalone.”
That was when they made alarm and notified police.
Lt Col Trau said that the suspects will make a court appearance in Wynberg on Monday. This is for the illegal possession of abalone.
Consequently, SAPS Western Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lt Gen KE Jula, commended the officers for their vigilance in fighting abalone poaching in the province.
