The Tipi wedding- the latest wedding trend

Want an outdoorsy wedding with a cool festival feel then why not opt for a Tipi wedding. Many couples dream of having an outdoor summer wedding in the countryside and Tipi weddings fit the outdoor brief perfectly.

The fairy lights, wooden beams and long trestle tables will create an intimate and festive atmosphere for your guests.

You can even opt for a warming fire pit and long banqueting tables. Both work beautifully in a marquee or tipi, adding atmosphere and creating really special spaces for a memorable celebration.

Picking a tent, a tipi or a classic marquee can alter the look and feel of your big day.

The tipi provides a beautiful warm atmosphere which complements most wedding decor themes- from formal, country garden parties to laid back bohemian rustic themes.

Some couples go all out with super glamorous styling, while others keep things simple with wildflowers and homemade touches.

The tipi or marquee structure allows for lots of hanging décor. Try pom-poms, bunting, ribbons, chandeliers or draped flowers, foliage and fairly lights.

If you need a bit of inspiration, then here are some wonderful ideas for a tipi or tent wedding.

A Romantic Tipi wedding

For a romantic tipi wedding, think of an English garden party with lots of flowers, bunting and fairy lights. Candles on the tables and wreaths will also create a special atmosphere. A live band would work well with this theme and you can serve a traditional menu of roasted lamb and chocolate Malva pudding with berries for dessert.

A Bohemian Tipi wedding

For the bohemian tipi theme, you can pull out all the stops and go big with the festival vibe. Opt for colourful decorations such as ribbons and pom-poms. Have a live DJ, food trucks, a disco ball and even a round of tug of war.

The family-friendly Tipi wedding

The family friendly tipi wedding has family at its heart. Make sure there are games for the children and fun outdoor activities such as a jumping castle. Everyone is invited including pets. You will need a large garden for this type of wedding, but it will be so much fun.
