The Venue @ Pearl Mountain will be the jewel in your crown, as you are assured to have the most magical wedding at this gorgeous and accommodating venue.
Pearl Mountain is situated on the east-facing slopes of Paarl Mountain. Providing a cool climate for a summer wedding, as well as wonderful views of the Berg River Valley and surrounding areas.
The plot was originally settled on by a blacksmith, Johann Jost Gunterlock, in 1747, just off the wagon trail, which meandered along what is today the farm’s eastern perimeter.
It has been a working farm since 1752, and was bought by Gideon Jacobus Retief in 1873. Five generations later and the farm is still owned and run by the Retief family.
Pearl Mountain farm boasts a wedding venue (The Venue @ Pearl Mountain), a restaurant (Blacksmith’s Kitchen) and a vineyard. The vineyard produces two different wines (Pearl Mountain / Stubborn Man) and fresh Olive oil.
The Venue offers a large wedding reception hall with a custom bar that opens up onto a beautiful outdoor patio. There is also a charming indoor fireplace, finished off with elegant chandeliers.
The design of the venue can be described as contemporary and chic, yet warm and welcoming. Guests will also enjoy the breath-taking views that The Venue has to offer.
The Venue can comfortably cater for groups from 40 up to 120 guests with dinner and dance and 150 guests banquet style.
There is an arrival lounge, with breath-taking views of the Drakenstein Mountains, for pre-drinks service. With the added benefit of having access to the Wine Sommelier, Danwin James.
All catering is done in-house by the famous Blacksmith’s Kitchen. All the wedding packages include a variety of menu options.
The Venue enables you to entrust your special occasion to a team committed to service excellence. Well known for their efficiency and attention to detail throughout the industry, their dedicated team works closely with experienced and trusted service providers.
The cosy and relaxed bistro-style restaurant, situated in the old blacksmith’s cottages, was built in 1747. These two buildings predate the Manor House by some 70 years, and many of their original features have been preserved or reclaimed in their renovation.
The restaurant serves a selection of Pearl Mountain wines and has a Mediterranean inspired menu, as well as a wood-fired pizza oven. The farm also has a vegetable garden which supplies the kitchen with wonderful veg and herbs.
