G4S security guard busted for theft

Police attached to the Western Cape Provincial Organized Crime Unit on Saturday arrested a 32-year-old security guard, who is an employee of G4S security.

According to information, the suspect allegedly stole a bag containing undisclosed amount of money from the vehicle while he and his partners were busy with their duties.

“The suspect was seen hiding the bag before it disappeared,” said police spokesperson, Sgt Noloyiso Rwexana.

“He was arrested for theft and he is expected to appear in the Somerset West Magistrates’ Court on Monday where he is facing a charge of theft.”
